Harmony Korine is an American filmmaker, writer, and artist known for his unique and often unconventional approach to cinema. Korine has gained a reputation for his boundary-pushing work in independent cinema, initially gaining attention in the early 1990s for his work in the New York City skateboard scene.

He wrote the screenplay for the controversial film "Kids" (1995), directed by Larry Clark, which explored the lives of teenagers in New York City then going on to write and Direct "Gummo" (1997) a highly divisive and experimental film that focuses on the lives of eccentric characters in a decaying Ohio town in the aftermath of a tornado and “Julien Donkey-Boy” (1999) His second feature film, which continued his exploration of unconventional storytelling. It was one of the early digital cinema releases and used a handheld, documentary-style approach to portray the life of a schizophrenic man.

Faber & Faber Edition of the Original Screenplays for Both ‘Gummo’ and ‘Julian Donkey-Boy’ as well as ‘Jokes’ which is an unfinished three-part film written by Korine but never released.
